Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) was established in 1920 in Harbin, Heilongjiang, China. In 1954, HIT became one of the first six leading universities in China. HIT is currently a member of the Association of China’s Top Nine Universities (C9).

China Harbin Institute of Technology scholarship details:

Only international students from outside of China who wish to study masters or doctoral degrees can apply for the HIT Independent Scholarship Program.
The HIT Independent Scholarship Program covers tuition, accommodation fees, stipends, and insurance fees. It is one of the Chinese Government Scholarship Program (hereinafter referred to as the CSC Scholarship) and is funded by the Ministry of Education (known as MOE) of the University to recruit outstanding international students.

Application period for China Harbin Institute of Technology Scholarships:

Applicants should submit their application materials in a timely manner to the College of International Education (hereinafter referred to as CIE) of HIT from October 15 to December 25, 2020.

Eligibility Requirements In China Harbin Institute of Technology Scholarship:

1- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health.
2- Foreign students from China or former Chinese university graduates.
3- The required educational background:
Master’s degree applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35; Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have a master’s degree and be under the age of forty.
Excellent study performance.
4- That the applicants have a good ability in scientific research.

Teaching language:

All PhD degree programs are taught in English or Chinese (except for the College of Humanities, S. S. and Law). Master’s degree programs are generally taught in Chinese, with the exception of English language programs for management, materials science, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics, chemical engineering, and life science and technology.
For programs taught in English, an applicant whose native language is not English must present an English Proficiency Certificate; For Chinese programs or remedial Chinese language courses, the applicant must submit HSK4 report or higher (valid for two years).

Financial Coverage in China Harbin Institute of Technology Scholarship:

1- Exemption from registration fees, tuition fees and accommodation fees.
CNY 2,800 per year for comprehensive medical insurance;
3 – The monthly stipend is granted to students at the following rates:
Master’s degree candidate: RMB 3,000 / month
Doctoral degree candidate: CNY 3,500 yuan / month.
