Curriculum outline for the course:
Unit 1: Coach, skill or talent?
This unit will address Who is the Coach? Is a good coach the product of his talent? Or the result of studying and acquiring training skills? Is coaching a job for me? Where do you start as a coach? And what does the coach do? This unit will also deal with some general knowledge about training, such as its definition, importance and components, and then explain what are the most important characteristics and skills that a professional trainer should possess.
Unit 2: The trainee, who he is and how he learns
This unit focuses on the trainee as a learner and as one of the most important pillars of the training process. It will address the concept of the learner and learning, as well as the most important characteristics of the learner and how this learning occurs and is exploited in achieving training objectives. We will also discuss the most important basics that we must take into account when training adults or adults, or the so-called principles of adult learning and how to apply them in the training halls.
Module Three: The Training Process
This unit deals with the training process in terms of its various axes and then focuses on the concept and how to formulate training objectives, which are considered one of the most important basic functions of a professional trainer. This unit also deals with the basic types of training and the most important types that must be adopted by a professional trainer. It also sheds light on the concept of training activity and the simplest types of training activities that are suitable for the novice trainer and which the trainer can implement inside the training halls to achieve the training objectives. We will also review one of the simplest models of how to design a training session.
